Division EVP - Legislative Liaison
Salary to $550,000 base  - with equal incentives - Outstanding Bonuses, Stock Options, Sign on bonus, Car, Defined and Non-Defined Benefits & Corporate Housing in Washington, D.C.
Location CONUS - New York City, NY based with 20% travel to Washington, D.C.
Summary Reports to Chief Corporate Counsel (CCC) of Global Entertainment & Telecommunications Company

This executive will function as a liaison between operating divisions, FCC and the Office of the CCC.  This position requires travel between Washington, D.C. and the New York City executive offices.  Congressional and Senatorial interaction to assimilate information and prioritize resources. This person will function to optimize the company's interests with regard to telecommunications and entertainment legislative initiatives.
Responsibilities 1. Responsible for implementing action committees in appropriate environments.
2. Responsible for press releases to Washington news organizations and position papers pertaining to pending legislation.
3. Function as Congressional liaison to Office of The CCC & FCC.
4. Accompany members of the press and government committees for on site review and policy meetings in New York and Washington, D.C.
5. Maintain research pertaining to competitive position legislation and initiate response with CCC. 
6. Responsible for cultivating first-hand relationships with industry constituents, government agencies and legislators.
Skills Required
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of legislative interaction and interpretation of legislation within the entertainment and telecommunication industries.
  • Strong writing skills to draft legislative initiatives to appropriate interests.
  • Strong background in press relations and the ability to work with the news media.  Strong presentation skills for occasional on-camera or podium appearances.
  • Working knowledge of broadcasting, entertainment & telecommunication legislation and FCC regulations.
  • Ability to supervise staff in New York and Washington, D.C. and supervise press and corporate communications efforts with regard to CCC initiatives.
  • J.D. with 5-10 years of related industry experience.  U.S. Citizenship & Security Clearance Required
