    • Prepare trademark reports and spreadsheets for clients 
    • Research current use of trademarks 
    • Obtain and revise commercial searches

    Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Provide lead paralegal support to the attorneys engaged in a busy, dynamic in-house legal department at an established hedge fund focused on asset-based, secured lending transactions. 

    Specific Duties Include: 

  • UCC filings and security interest perfection review and monitoring
  • UCC & lien searches
  • Preparation of reports of status of security interests for Funds’ portfolio companies
  • Documentation of transfers of assets between funds
  • Monitoring of records maintained in-house and with third-party custodian
  • Preparation of SEC Forms 3,4,13D & 13G

    Required Skills
    • Minimum of three years secured lending and/or asset-based lending paralegal experience

    Someone who has paralegal skills but doesn't mind making travel arrangements, booking meeting rooms, typing the misc letter, copying and binding docs but who also can roll up their sleeves to organize legal files, including litigation files, develop and implement filing systems, track lit records and filing requirements, fill out routine legal forms, obtain and file various routine corporate docs etc. 

    These two attorneys within this media company are responsible for: New York, Italy, Mexico and France. 

    This is a highly desired company to work for and the attorneys are both very nice.  They are seeking a paralegal / assistant who wants a real home with a great company.
    Duties 
  • Assist the International VP General Counsel and Associate General Counsel on a daily basis in New York as they work with New York, Italy, Mexico and France
  • Utilize Microsoft Office to include Word and Outlook.  PC DOC's or other legal software a plus.
  • Maintain legal and confidential documents pertaining to domestic and international business
  • Organize litigation files.  Keep neat files.  Track litigation records.
  • File routine corporate documents.
  • Maintain a calendar for international travel and business meetings
  • Interface with high level media executives internal and external to the company

    • General office duties a team player who like being involved.
    Required
  • 1-4 years of experience as a legal assistant /litigation paralegal in a law firm or corporation 
  • Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word, Outlook..  Any legal or non legal Database exp is a plus.  Such as PC DOCS or Access or any other database. 
  • A self starter who is proactive
  • Strong communication skills
