Description
This is a senior-level technology leadership position responsible for the applications and systems that enhance the revenue generating capabilities of Ad Sales and Distribution Sales.
This position reports to the CIO and works in close contact with Ad Sales Operations.
We are seeking an outstanding, high-energy technology professional with the business and technical acumen to architect, implement and manage company-wide systems.
The position requires interaction with the company's highest executives as well as the ability to directly manage an organization of 16 seasoned professionals and oversee offshore application software development teams.
The company is one of the premier media companies in the world.
Operations including two broadcast television networks, one cable network, two television station groups, a radio station group and a significant presence in integrated media.
This position supports a population of 900 users.
Requirements
A proven ability to integrate business knowledge, IT technical knowledge systems and applications, financial acumen, and communication skills together with strong leadership capabilities to generate a significant contribution to the Company.
The ability to apply an understanding of business strategy in the development of application system architectures.
Extensive technical and business experience in the selection, deployment and operation of Ad Sales, Research, CRM, Traffic and other related business systems including licensed and proprietary software as well as cloud based systems.
Experience should include modern SDLC methodologies and techniques based on a deep understanding of the role of application systems to a successful business operation.
Extensive capability in business intelligence systems.
Establish seamless working relationships with Ad Sales Operations, business units, IT infrastructure groups and other application teams.
Develop and manage detailed financial budgets.
Apply critical thinking and express ideas clearly and concisely in all forms of communication.
Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
Perform basic functions expected of all IT employees including maintaining and advancing technical skills as necessary, and adhering to department and company policies and practices.
